About Antioxidants

The best way I found to understand them is to think of biting an apple. The browning and softening that happens to the apples flesh quite quickly is ‘oxidation’. Antioxidation is the opposite of that.

Antioxidants promote:

– cellular resilience (Which is where they get their ‘age defence’ properties – the intact apple cells compared to the oxidised one)
– waste release from the cell (detoxification/purge)
